Living here in Portland, Oregon, we have plenty, but few that are more beautiful than Mount Hood. Watching the Sun Go Down on Estacada Lake

Just a couple of weeks ago, we had the distinct pleasure of seeing yet another bit of Oregon’s natural beauty, with a fishing day trip to Estacada. Estacada Lake has been freshly stocked with trout, and we were lucky enough to pull a couple of fish out of the lake, more than enough to supply us with fish for 8 tacos, 2 for each of the four of us.
The natural beauty is enhanced by the distinct lack of city-oriented noise, save the occasional truck passing by somewhere on a distant highway. Watching the sun set on the lake was beautiful, fellow fisher-people were extra nice, and I think we only cast our lines into trees about 64 times each.
